Coli Med
Composition :
Each 1 gm contains :
Colistin (as sulphate ) 800,000 I.U.
Indication :
General bacterial infection caused only by gram-negative bacteria, used to treat gastrointestinal tract infections caused by E.coli, Klebsiella, Salmonella,Pasteurella, and Pseudomonas. After oral administration, the absorption from the intestine is very poor in Calves and Poultry.
Dosage :
Orally via drinking water or feed Calves: 8 g / 100 kg bodyweight, twice daily, during 5 – 10 days. (depending on the causal agent).
Poultry: 54 g / 100 liters of drinking water during 3 – 5 days.
Mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
Withdrawal period :
For meat: 2 days.
For eggs:1 day.
Contraindications:
Animals with disturbed renal functions.
Storage :
Store in a dark and dry place at a temperature below 30oC.
