Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Lincomycin (as Lincomycin Hydrochloride Monohydrate) 50 mg
Spectinomycin (as Spectinomycin Sulfate tetrahydrate) 100 mg

Properties:
▪ Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibiotic with activity against a wide range of Gram–positive and Gram–negative bacteria and mycoplasma. It is welldistributed throughout the body and significantly metabolized.
▪ Spectinomycin is an aminocyclitol antibiotic and is also active against mycoplasma as well as many Gram–negative bacteria, particularly members of the Enterobacteriaceae. It is also well distributed throughout the body and appears to be mainly excreted as the parent compound.

Indications:
lincoSpectomed is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by organisms
sensitive to the action of lincomycin and/ or spectinomycin including:
Actinobacillus spp. , Pasteurella spp. , Escherichia coli , Salmonella spp.
, Campylobacter spp. , Bacteroides spp. , Clostridium spp. , Fusobacterium spp.
, Actinomyces spp. , Streptococcus spp. , Mycoplasma spp.,
Staphylococcus and Treponema spp. , and infections as Chronic respiratory
disease (CRD), respiratory infections, air–sac disease, infections of skin– and
adjoining tissues, enteritis, dysentery, foot rot in non–ruminating calves, sheep,
goats, poultry (broilers), dogs and cats.

Dosage
For intramuscular injection.
Non–ruminating calves: 15 mg of the active ingredients per kg bodyweight (1
ml/ 10 kg bodyweight) intramuscularly twice daily for the first day followed by
once daily for 2 – 4 days according to clinical response.
Sheep and Goats: 15 mg of the active ingredients per kg bodyweight )1 ml per
10 kg bodyweight) for 3 days.
Poultry (broilers): 30 mg of the active ingredients per kg bodyweight (0.5 ml
per 2.5 kg bodyweight) daily during 3 days.
Dogs and Cats: 30 mg of the active ingredients per kg bodyweight (1 ml/5 kg
bodyweight) intramuscularly. May be repeated at 12 to 24 hour intervals for 3 –
7 days according to clinical response.

Remarks:
▪ Do not use in animals previously
▪ found to be hypersensitive to either active ingredient.
▪ Do not administer to animals with impaired renal and/or hepatic function.
▪ Concurrent administration of penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones, and
cycloserine.
▪SAFETY PERIOD:
▪ Non–ruminating calves (Meat and offal): 21 days.
▪ Sheep and Goats (Meat): 14 days.
▪ Sheep and Goats (Milk): 3 days.
▪ Poultry (Meat): 7 days.
Storage:
▪ Store in a dark and dry place at a temperature below 30oC.
▪ Shelf life after the first opening of the container: 28 days
