Wide-spectrum antibiotics (powder)
Composition :
Each gram Contains :
– Sulphadiazine Na 200 mg.
– Trimethoprim 40 mg.
Properties :
1- SulphaTrimMed contains two active ingredients in such a way that Trimethoprim increases the activity of Sulphadiazine Na by preventing the transformation of Folic Acid into a bio-active folic acid antagonist.
2- Sulphadiazine Na prevents the proliferation of the bacteria causing diseases since this material affects aminobenzoic acid which is necessary for the growth of bacteria.
3- Used for the treatment of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Indications :
Indicated for the treatment of infections associated with respiratory and gastrointestinal
diseases. It shows high activity against E.coli, Pasteurella, and Salmonella infections including Colisepticemia, Pullorum disease, and Fowl Cholera in poultry and Pneumonia, Nephritis, Metritis, and Enteritis in large animals.
Dosage :
* Poultry: 200 gm per 200 liters of drinking water for 5 consecutive days.
* Large Animals: 2 gm per 15 kg of body weight in drinking water for 5 consecutive days.
Withdrawal Period :
Meat should not be used during treatment and within 5 days of the last treatment.
